Help

The questions members ask most often. If yours isn't here, message [email protected].

Identity & privacy

Will my real name be visible?
No. Posts and comments only ever show your @handle. Your real name is stored but never rendered to other members by default. You can opt to share your real name with a specific connection — and only that connection — through the Identity & privacy section in Settings.
Can I change my @handle?
After the first 30 days, yes. During onboarding you can also pick from a fresh list of generated handles. The 30-day cooldown is intentional — it stops people from rotating handles to dodge accountability.
Can moderators see my real name?
Only if you opt in to that explicitly. The default is off. Even with the toggle on, mods only ever see real names in the context of an open Trust & Safety case.
If I share my name with someone, can I take it back?
Yes — any time, from Identity & privacy in Settings. Revocation is immediate.

Levels & invites

How do I move up a level?
Levels are granted via the invite chain — each level you can issue starts at one tier below yours. Posting and commenting earn karma but don't auto-promote you; level changes are deliberate.
Where do invites come from?
Each level has an invite allocation that refreshes every 30 days. Higher levels get more invites and a higher storage cap. Your current allocation is shown in your Karma panel on /feed.

Posting

Why can't I post yet?
You'll need to verify your email first. Check your inbox for the verification link — or click Resend on the verify-email page if you can't find it.
Can I edit a post after I've published it?
Yes. Open the post, hit Edit, save your changes. The post will display an 'edited' tag with the timestamp.
What happens if I delete a post with comments?
Soft-delete: your post becomes [removed by author] but the comment thread stays visible so the conversation survives.

Connections

What's the difference between a connection and a follow?
There's no follow. Connections are mutual: one party requests, the other accepts. DMs are connections-only — you can't message someone you're not connected with.
Do connections see my real name automatically?
No. Connecting and revealing your name are two separate consents. By default a connection only sees your handle.

Account

How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account. This is permanent and removes your handle, posts, comments, and DMs.
What if I forget my password?
Use the 'Forgot password' link on the sign-in page. We'll email you a reset link that's valid for one hour.
